A Year of Projects, Growth and Teamwork

As the first quarter of 2026 is coming to an end, it’s a good moment to reflect on a busy and eventful 2025 for Workers Hotel. From major industrial shutdowns to large infrastructure projects, teams across Sweden relied on flexible accommodation solutions to keep projects running smoothly.
Lysekil: an intense shutdown
One of the highlights of the year was the major shutdown at Preemraff in Lysekil. Over six intense weeks, around 2,500 people from 40 different countries worked side by side. Workers Hotel provided accommodation for nearly 1,000 workers and meals for around 500 of them.
“We are proud to have been part of such an important project. It was impressive to see people from so many countries working together to make it happen,” says Anders Jönsson, Founder and Business Development Manager at Workers Hotel.
Northern Sweden and major infrastructure
At the same time, projects in Luleå and Boden continued to be important for our operations. In western Sweden, infrastructure projects such as Västlänken in Gothenburg kept many teams busy throughout the year.
Providing accommodation for project teams means being flexible and ready to adapt. During the year, Workers Hotel expanded its network of apartments, houses, and other accommodation solutions across Sweden to support projects of different sizes.
"It’s rewarding to see our solutions actually make a difference for teams on site," says Magnus Kinnmark, Founder and CEO at Workers Hotel.
A busy start to 2026
The start of 2026 has already been active. Last week, in mid March, Workers Hotel participated in its first trade show, Underhållsmässan in Gothenburg, where we had the opportunity to meet partners, customers, and new contacts from across the industry.
Preparations are also underway for another major shutdown project starting in April, where teams from several countries will once again gather to carry out critical maintenance work.
For Workers Hotel, the goal remains the same: to provide flexible, ready-to-go accommodation so that project teams can settle in quickly and focus on the work ahead.
From Lysekil to Luleå, Gothenburg and beyond, we continue to support the people who keep projects moving.
