Market Update with Anders: Signs of Momentum

Signs of momentum and market outlook from Anders Jönsson

Over the past months, I’ve started to notice something that feels encouraging: the underlying market remains strong, and more small signals are beginning to point in the right direction.

Inflation is coming down, interest rates are easing, and with that comes increased confidence. We can see it in conversations with customers and partners. Companies seem more willing to look ahead, plan investments, and start preparing for growth.

One area where we’ve clearly noticed increased activity is construction. Some of that is seasonal of course, spring and better weather always bring more movement, but we are also seeing more enquiries connected to projects and the companies building and staffing them.

When activity starts increasing in these sectors, it often creates momentum far beyond the construction site itself. Housing, infrastructure and surrounding services all begin moving at the same pace.

At the same time, industry remains strong overall. We continue to see positive demand connected to energy, infrastructure and data centre projects. There is still a lot happening across Sweden, and many long-term investments continue moving forward.

The exception right now is the paper industry, where we are seeing signs of more cautious investment decisions. But looking at the market as a whole, the picture still feels positive.

Of course, the global situation remains uncertain. Political developments and world events continue creating hesitation in some areas. Everyone is watching closely.

Still, beneath that uncertainty, I believe there is a positive force pushing forward.

And maybe good weather actually matters more than we think. Better weather brings more energy, more optimism and people naturally start looking ahead instead of waiting. That mindset affects more than individuals, it often affects the market too.

So for now, I’m hoping for a sunny season and a calmer global situation. If we get both, I believe we have a very strong market ahead of us.
